Three bases on one coast
Visitors stay in three kinds of place. The village of Taghazout has surf camps and guesthouses among its lanes. Taghazout Bay is the resort area with beach hotels and others on the hill. Tamraght, to the south, has retreats and surf stays. The three are a short drive apart, and the choice is about style, not distance.
This page does not quote an average hotel price. It shows what a few operators publish, with the date of the listing. Check the room, the board and the transfer before you compare totals. Prices are as published in 2026 and they change.

Village, Bay or Tamraght at a glance
What is published for each base.
| Base | What is published | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Taghazout village | Surf camp rooms: bunk bed, twin and double | Lanes, cafés and surf shops; cash machines on the main road according to a camp |
| Taghazout Bay, beach | The Marriott, 250 rooms, opened July 2026 | No airport shuttle of its own; free self-parking for guests |
| Taghazout Bay, hill | Hotels near the golf course, according to the project website | Not every hotel with Bay in its name is on the sand |
| Tamraght | Surf and yoga packages in Tamraght Oufella | Package prices, not room-only rates |

In the village
Camps among the lanes.
Surf camp rooms
Surf Berbere sells rooms in its Taghazout camp as bunk bed, twin or double. Its weekly package is GBP 433 per person for 7 nights, with 5 days of lessons, board, wetsuit, 7 dinners and airport transfers. The surf and yoga version is GBP 470 and adds 5 sunset yoga classes.
Surf camps compared →Flexible stays
The same camp says it sets no fixed arrival days and lets you combine stays. It mentions group and student discounts on request, without a fixed percentage.
Cash
The camp lists cash machines on the main road, about 50 m from its café and 30 m from its surf shop. Do not rely on them. The German foreign office warns that smaller hotels and shops may take only cash, so carry dirham.
In Taghazout Bay
Beach hotels and hillside hotels.
The Marriott on the beach
It stands at kilometre 16 on the Route d'Essaouira. Check-in is from 3 p.m. and check-out is at noon. It says it has no airport shuttle, so plan the transfer. One restaurant, BRAZE, was marked as temporarily closed on the hotel page.
Hotels on the hill
The project website separates beach hotels from hotels up by the golf course. Ask for the distance to the sand and the access route before you book. Do not assume a short walk.
Day visitors
Hotel pools and beaches are not public attractions. Ask a hotel about day passes rather than assuming one exists. The Taghazout Bay page has more.
In Tamraght
Retreat stays south of the village.
| Room type | Price per person, 6 nights |
|---|---|
| Dorm | From €510 |
| Twin | €550 |
| Private double | €610 |
| Triple suite | €630 |
These are The Pearl's prices for The Full Reset in 2026: 6 nights, 5 supervised surf days, 5 yoga sessions, equipment, meals, spot transfers and the airport transfer. They are per person, not a total for the room. A deposit of €100 per guest secures the booking, with a full refund up to 30 days before arrival. See the Tamraght page and yoga retreats.
What to check before you book
The details that change the price or the day.
Beach access and walking time
Ask for the walking time and the access route to the beach for the exact property before you book.
Accessibility
Ask about steps, lifts and the path from the street to the room. A single listing says nothing general about the area.
Transfers
Hotels may not run a shuttle. A package may include the airport transfer. See getting there.
Currency
The currency is the Moroccan dirham. A foreign debit card may or may not work at a machine, depending on your contract with your bank. Ask your bank before you travel.
If you would rather sleep in the city and visit the coast by day, see where to stay in Agadir. The airport side of that city is at Visit Agadir.
Where to stay in Taghazout: frequently asked questions
Should I stay in the village or in Taghazout Bay?
The village suits surf camps and lanes close to the beach spots. The Bay suits resort hotels, the golf course and a beach setting. They are separate places on the same coast, so pick by style.
Is the Marriott open?
Yes, it opened in July 2026 with 250 rooms. It lists check-in from 3 p.m. and check-out at noon.
Does the Marriott run an airport shuttle?
No. The hotel states it does not offer its own airport shuttle, so arrange a transfer beforehand.
Are there cash machines in Taghazout?
A surf camp lists machines on the main road. That is no guarantee that they work or hold cash, so bring some dirham.
What does a surf camp week cost?
One surf camp lists GBP 433 per person for 7 nights with lessons, and a retreat lists from €510 for 6 nights with surf and yoga. The two differ in nights and content, so compare what each includes.
